Some latest information:

Van Everdingen's 'Girl with a large hat' has actually been acquired at the London auction by the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, with the support of funds from the Dutch BankGiro Loterij.

The painting is currently being restored and in the course of 2010 will be displayed for public viewing first in the museum's 'Philips Wing' and from 2013 onwards on permanent display in the then completely restored New Rijksmuseum.
