The 37 generally accepted works of by Johannes Vermeer are presently divided between Europe (22) and America (15).

The recently re-attributed Lady Seated at the Virginals, once part of the private collection of Steve Wynn in Las Vegas, has recently been sold to a private collector in New York. Vermeer’s Concert, once housed in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, was stolen in March 18, 1990 and has not been recovered.
